Editing content and enriching it with AI
Slide text
Open a content item and select a slide: texts and speaker notes can be edited directly. The layout is preserved — you change the content, not the design of the original presentation. For image-based content (e.g. PDF pages), the slide text is part of the image; there you edit the speaker text.
Order and visibility
You reorder slides and hide individual ones. The player skips hidden slides and also omits them from a deck-wide narration. This lets you shorten or restructure a content item without changing the original file.
Speaker text per slide
Every slide has one speaker text — after import, the original note from the presentation. You can replace it (by hand or with AI) or reset it to the original at any time. This effective speaker text is the basis for narration. The original note is kept, so reprocessing the content never overwrites it.
Quiz questions
You create quiz questions by hand or let the AI suggest them from the slide content. Supported types include single-choice, multiple-choice and true/false. Quiz slides play in the player; results feed into the grade depending on the LMS.
Export as a PDF handout: Quiz questions and interactions can be exported as a PDF — as a worksheet for participants (without answers) or as a trainer version (with the correct answers). Handy for use in classroom teaching.
Translation
The portal translates a content item's text with AI into other languages and adds them as additional language versions within the same content item. In the translation comparison you review source and translation side by side and correct individual segments; for targeted corrections the AI can use the slide or chapter context. The default is the portal's EU-hosted AI translation; per organisation you can alternatively connect DeepL (→ "Integrations").
In the "Add language" menu a speaker icon indicates which languages have narration voices available — so you can see at selection time whether the translation can also be narrated.
Narration (text-to-speech)
From the speaker text (or optionally the slide text) the portal generates natural speech output. The narration wizard offers several modes: "Slide text" reads the visible text directly (without AI rephrasing); alternatively the AI fills in missing speaker texts or generates all of them anew.
- Choose a voice: you select from available voices; the voice used and its parameters are stored per slide, so re-narrating reproducibly uses the same voice.
- Scope: you narrate a single slide or all visible slides at once; after editing a text you re-narrate just the affected slide, without the whole deck.
- Karaoke: the narration can be synchronised word by word with the slide, so the word currently spoken is highlighted (karaoke effect).
Deck podcast
On request the portal turns the whole content item into a coherent audio episode ("podcast") — optionally as a dialogue between two voices. You review the result before using it; generation consumes credits.
AI speaker notes
If speaker notes are missing, the AI suggests suitable notes from the slide content. You review and adopt them and can then narrate them.
Audio↔animation synchronisation
Narration automatically produces a synchronisation between the spoken word and the slide — with no extra step, the sync is simply there afterwards. In a check mode you view the content "with sound" and can see which slides are already synchronised. Where needed, you adjust individual word markers by hand. A full timeline editor with waveform and drag-and-drop is in preparation.
All AI functions (quiz, translation, narration, podcast, speaker notes) consume credits and run GDPR-compliant in the EU (→ "Privacy & AI").
